sometimes more.
Usually quickly scribbled on beer coasters
or ragged scraps of paper
plopping
quick smart
within 2 or 3 minutes
rarely touching the sides
as he polishes off another drink.
Occasionally, he squeezes out
a long hot gem
of great significance
of unimaginable beauty & purity
which resonates with the age
at such times, you need to stand back
and admire it for all its layered tones
& gracefully foul glory.
